The app is the easiest way to manage your account, get rewards, and be in the know on what is happening at City Barbeque.
Sorry to give you all this legalese, but since you asked, here ya go: We are sensitive to the private nature of information you provide to us. We will protect your personal information. We will send you emails and notifications from time to time with information about the program or special offers and rewards; if at any time you no longer wish to receive communications from us, you are free to opt out of receiving these communications. We will never call you unless you ask us to; we only ask for your phone number so we can look up your account in the restaurant. We ask for your birthday because in some states there are laws regarding the age of loyalty members (you need to be over 13 years old) … and we’d also like to treat you to some b-day cake. We ask your anniversary date (totally optional) so we can send something for you and your sweetie to enjoy on your special day.
Essentially, we use the information you share with us to give you awesome rewards! If you would like to opt out of those communications, please send us an email at email@example.com.
If you have the app, you can use the “Earn” and “Redeem” buttons on the home screen to easily generate a QSR code that we will scan. If you don't have the app, you'll just need to tell the cashier the phone number associated with your account (the one you entered when you signed up online); they'll use that number to identify you in the system so you can earn points and redeem offers. If you’re not sure what offers you have, you can log into your account online or just ask the cashier after they have identified you in the system. If you can't remember the phone number we have on file, you can log into your account and find it there (and make changes if necessary). *Note: you will not earn points on gift card purchases (points are earned by the end user of the gift card).
You can earn points on every transaction you make, but the system only allows barcodes to be scanned once every three hours. You can also only redeem one offer per transaction. The system requires three hours between offer redemptions. When you redeem a reward, you will automatically earn points on the remainder of your balance.
We want you to use those delicious offers, so periodically we'll remind you that your offer is expiring, or send you a note about an upcoming campaign. Those notifications aren't connected to the actual offer or your banked rewards. To redeem the offer, look for a notice that says something like "Free Cake" and has a picture of the cake and click on that. To redeem banked rewards, go to the main screen and click "Redeem."
There are a few reasons why this may have occurred. Most common is that you already got the points—you can check this by looking at your account history in the app. Another possible explanation is that the barcodes on receipts expire after 15 days. Finally, if you scanned a barcode to earn points in the last three hours, you can’t scan one again for another three hours.
Regardless of the reason, we can help: just let us know the situation and we’ll figure out what happened. Send us the barcode number to email@example.com along with your name the email or phone number associated with your account, and we'll sort it out.
Unused banked rewards expire after one year. If you think you received the message on accident, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll take a look! *Note: Banked rewards are used in a first in, first out fashion, so if you have earned multiple $5 rewards, make sure to redeem the oldest ones first.
No, you will not earn points when you purchase a gift card; the end user will earn the points when they use the gift card. For example, if you purchase a gift card for Steve, Steve will earn points when he uses his gift card to pay for his meal. Questions? Email us at email@example.com!
