City Barbeque opening in Park Ridge, Illinois on October 14

The company’s fifth Chicago-area location to celebrate with a week of fundraisers and events

CHICAGO—City Barbeque will open its fifth Chicagoland location on Monday, October 14. Located at 123 N. Northwest Highway, City Barbeque Park Ridge will be the company’s 45th location nationwide, and will serve up the same delicious, award-winning barbeque, homemade sides, and indulgent desserts folks have come to know and love.

Prior to opening, the new location will host a Neighborhood Party to give Park Ridge residents their first taste of City Barbeque. From 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 12, folks can swing by the joint’s parking lot for slow-smoked brisket and pulled pork sliders, a loaded mac & cheese bar, and a visit to City Barbeque’s iconic lemonade stand for some fresh, hand-muddled lemonade.

The joint will officially open on Monday, October 14; folks who visit on opening day will have the chance to draw from a mystery box of barbeque offers. Mayor Marty Maloney and the Park Ridge Chamber will help officially open Chicago’s newest City Barbeque, and 25% of the day’s sales will benefit the chamber. On Wednesday, October 16, the restaurant will raise funds for Have Dreams ( the Chicago-area nonprofit serving children, teens, and young adults impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder will receive 25% of the day’s sales.

On Saturday, October 19, City Barbeque Park Ridge will host a Grand Opening Celebration, filled with barbeque giveaways, hand-dipped candy apples, live music, face painters, balloon artists, and more. The joint will also donate 10% of the day’s sales to Park Ridge Community Fund (, a local nonprofit supporting 29 social and health service agencies in the community.

Chicago’s newest City Barbeque will also sell tumblers to support Park Ridge Community Fund in its goal to improve the quality of life in Park Ridge. Tumblers can be purchased for $5 each beginning October 14, with all profits to benefit Park Ridge Community Fund.
