We are pretty happy to be ranked on the best BBQ in America list that was recently published by Men’s Journal.
Men’s Journal has listed City Barbeque as one of the country’s “18 Best Barbecue Spots,” in their 2014 review.
The story, “A Road Trip to the 18 Best Barbecue Spots in America,” advocates taking a trip to “the best, most unique, and most authentically American barbecue eateries in the country.”
We love barbeque, and we know there are a lot of great places to enjoy it out there. We hope you’ll stop by to see why many feel City Barbeque is among the best bbq in America. We pride ourselves in delivering competition quality barbecue for each and every guest. We have over 100 Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) certified judges in our restaurants who are dedicated to making sure only the highest quality bbq is served. You can enjoy national award winning brisket (American Royal International BBQ competition, Grand Champion), pulled pork, smoked turkey breast (named best in America by the National Turkey Federation), pulled chicken, half chicken, smoked sausage, and several specialty sandwiches. We also pride ourselves on having some of the best bbq sides anywhere. Whether dining in, or catering an event – you can expect the same great food.
City Barbeque is similar to some of the other greats on this best bbq in America list in that we smoke our meat with wood, cooking low and slow for many, many hours, to produce exceptionally tender and juicy meat with a wonderful smokey flavor. All meats are smoked on site and all side dished are made from scratch throughout the day. Because the meat takes so long to cook, there are days we simply sell out of product. Any leftover food at the end of the day is donated to Food Rescue – an organization that helps to deliver perfectly delicious food to those who need it most.
